Leona M. (Schrack) Kemmerer, 90, widow of Raymond M. “Ray” Kemmerer, of Loganton, PA passed away on Monday, January 12, 20,6 at UPMC- Williamsport, Williamsport.PA.
Born in Loganton, PA on August 9, 1935 she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Bessie (Harbach) Schrack.
Ray and Leona were wed on October 25, 1958 and had shared over 64 years of marriage together when he passed away on September 30, 2022.
Leona was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Greenburr, PA and was formerly employed Weldon’s garment factory of Williamsport, PA and was also formerly employed by Keystone Central School District in the cafeteria department.
She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and watching food shows on television. She enjoyed decorating, as her home was always meticulously adorned for every holiday season. In earlier years she enjoyed traveling and kept active with word puzzles. One of her favorite pastimes was to visit with family and friends throughout the day.
Along with her husband and parents she was predeceased by three brothers, Daniel “Dan”, Nelson “Jim” and Glenn Schrack and four sisters, Mildred Trostle, Lois Imes, Ruth Thompson and Shelva Boob.
Leona is survived by a son Scott R. Kemmerer (Fran) of Loganton, a grandson Alexander Kemmerer (Caroline) of State College PA, a granddaughter Carla Wagner (Kyle) of Lock Haven and three great grandchildren Isabella, Kyleenah and Kyle, Jr.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026 at 1:00 PM in the Wayne P. Urbine Funeral Home, Inc., 95 East Main St., Loganton, PA with Rev. Dan Christopher officiating. A viewing will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, January 15, 2026 from 6-8 PM. Private Interment will be held in Fairview Cemetery, Loganton, PA.
